Moses first started

feat. Chellena Black and Ghetto Messiah, was released on Paradax's
sub label “ Up All Night
w/ Paradax. One of the first feedbacks from the
release was for Ghetto Messiah. One half of the duo Deep
Dish, Sharam, he was quoted as saying “ the track has a fresh
sound”
Soon thereafter, Moses soon teamed up with Dwayne Taylor
and DJ Dax on three other productions, House the Power, the
soulful track featuring Chellena Black again, I don't
need you no more , and the underground hit Live
Together. Later Moses teamed up with his best pal
Sevan Shahgaldian (Mr. Keys) to work on some projects for Paradax.
Moses and Sevan had been doing some break-beat stuff prior
to being introduced to Paradax.. Sevan has been a keyboard
player for over seven years and has played keys on the following
Paradax releases: Live Together, Que Quieres De Mi
(Soulato Mix), Aint no doubt (roqsta Mix) and Generation (roqsta
mix). After going through a series of production name,
in 2003, Moses and Sevan finally came up with a permanent production
name roqsta. The name brought them luck with the release
of Paradax's “Ain't No Doubt” luck would come upon them with
their roqsta remix of Ain't no doubt that was license to Richard “Humpty” Vission
Big Floor Funk CD. As a result of the track being released

In 2003,the
production team name of DDT (Dax & Dwayne Taylor) manifested
itself into “SOULATO” (pronounced so-lá-tö´),

at two or three parties every weekend, continued through

Onion (early 1990's). His mixing is so clean that crowds
gather around to watch him spin (on CD format).
Always
ahead of his time; in the mid 1990's Crash took out copyright's

to technology or his dream.

After moving to Los Angeles in 1986 from Mexico City (his birthplace) Jerry Flores fell in love with the city known for its diverse cultures and ethnicities.
He first introduction to House Music was in 1993 while listening to Power 106 FM. The first song he heard was L.A. Style's "James Brown Is Dead" and from there he was hooked. In 1995 his Techno ways evolved to a much different and more intellectual sound called House Music and its sub-genre; Soulful Garage, House.
Inspired by D.J.'s such as Tony Largo , D.J. Shorty , Terence Toy , Tommy Musto , Victor Simonelli , Terence Flores ,and A.J.Mora (among many others). Jerry found his true calling and wanted to emulate his idols by studying their programming technique of mixing and learning how they keep his music exciting and fresh for his club patrons. Additionally, Jerry gained his vast knowledge of the music from his favorite U.K. magazine “DJ”. Other magazines that inspired Jerry were Muzik, URB, Thousand Words, Underground and XLR8R.
In 2000 he achieved his dream and got the chance to play at the legendary after-hours club "Does Your Mama Know". Jerry was in awe knowing that some of the best DJ’s from around the world had played at “Mama” The truly was a surreal experience for Jerry. .Jerry has added another chapter to his life by collaborating with DJ/Producer Jesse"Outlaw" Hinojosa as a co-producer. Their first release “The12:03 a.m. Dub project” was released on a local Los Angeles label Paradax Records. His productions attitude is inline with what he likes to spin which is the perfect combination. Jerry ultimate goal is to produce his own track and hope one day that some of his favorite DJ’s will spin his track on a regular rotation.
Jerry is a true believer in House….

Aaron
Arce
E-mail Aaron |
Born in Los Angeles in 1969, Aaron Arce picked up quickly on the family traits. At the age of seven he started his professional music career playing percussion in his fathers Orchestra. Being around musicians in his early years, Aaron took a crash course in music, throughout the years Aaron developed an impressionable DJ mixing skill, incorporating his musical background as a keyboardist and percussionists and his newly discovered DJ skills, Aaron was bound to stand out from the rest of his colleges.
In the late seventies Aaron had the opportunity to spin disco records fresh off the press. During the transition from the seventies to the 80’s Aaron discovered two bootleg records that totally captivated him, Party by Mach and The Hollywood 10 record, these records were a new form of art as Aaron puts it. Multiple disco records synchronized restructured and mashed together with rhythmic and harmonic unity that formed a record in its own. In 1981 Aaron started learning the art of restructuring a record through the process of tape splicing, during this process Aaron was discovering production techniques he would later use in the studio.
In 1987 Aaron recorded his first record titled Playing With Love by Chapter One. This record immediately became a dance hit and was added to several radio stations across the country. As Aaron’s production carrier was launching a local dance club was being embraced by not only his music, but also his turntableism. The name of the club was Mr. J’s which was not known for its name, but for its music that was selected by Aaron and the resident DJ who so happened to be the mix consultant on Aaron’s first record. In 1990 Aaron took over the residency at Mr .J’s in Hollywood. He stayed their until they closed in 1993. During this key period in his carrier, Aaron was dedicated to fully developing his craft as a DJ/Key Boardist and Producer.
1992 was the year Aaron produced his first cross over hit, titled Helluva, by BHC, and released on MCA records. The record charted No.1 for three weeks on Billboard magazine and went gold in the US and Canada. Shortly after Aaron collaborated on several released and unreleased projects for MCA, Sony, Capital and BMG records, Aaron has worked on records by Stephanie Mills, Aaron Hall, and Juanes.
In 1995 Aaron was guest DJ on Jamming Z90 in San Diego California and Groove Radio in Los Angeles, California. Aaron has an extensive track record starting from 1987 thru present as a producer in Dance culture, Aaron’s original approach has been known to be ground breaking. |
